NEVER Trust Your Pet Pit Bulls.....

Never trust your pit bull pets not to fight.

What horrifies me most about this, (besides seeing this woman bend over) is the trauma that these poor children are witnessing.
So much so, that the child called 911.

I hope for the sake of their children that the very responsible owners euthanized these animals.
(I'm thinking glass half full here, which I rarely do)

Loose pit bull - Here is what happens......

CAPE CORAL -
Cape Coral family members are not hiding their feelings about an off-duty Lee County Corrections officer who shot and killed their pit bull named Sassy.

The corrections officer told investigators the dog came at him in an aggressive manner before he pulled out his agency issued gun and shot her.
Sassy's owner, Carissa Correia, admits the dog wasn't on a leash; but she says Sassy didn't deserve to die.
She says she doesn't understand why the off-duty corrections officer opened fire – saying he walked away without a scratch on him.
"She was the most loving sweet dog anyone can imagine. Just because she's a pit doesn't mean you have a right to shoot her," she said. "He shot her twice in the throat and side of the neck."

You might be a pit bull owner if....

(Full Credit to Douglas Wolfe)..........

You Might Be A Pit Bull Owner If…

•You have use logging chains to keep the dog from getting loose.

•You have to fix broken windows the dog has jumped through.

•You have to lock up your dog when ever anyone knocks on your door.

•You have to hide your dog to keep the police or animal control from taking it after it attacks someone.

•You have to lie about the type of dog you have.

•You try to use a single instance of a dog in a show to try to back up the lie that your dog is safe.

•You have to defend your type of dog all the time because of all the attacks, injuries and harm they cause every day.

•You attack the innocent victims after your dog attacks to try to shift the blame off you or your dog.

•You compare the grievous injuries your dog causes to a Chihuahua bite in a desperate attempt to defend your mauler.

•you practice crate and rotate

•your Chihuahua is vicious

Canine Loyalty

The Lab is arguably the most loyal breed in history, so it seems fitting that they chose a chocolate lab for this commercial.

A good, solid, loyal, family dog.........(wonder why they didn't choose a pit bull?)

Walk for Victims of Pit Bulls....

Tucson, AZ - On Saturday October 27, two grassroots activists from Tucson will host a first ever event of its kind in the country: A walk to raise awareness of victims of pit bulls and other dangerous dogs. Activists Melissa Baze and Matthew Pimple created the event to honor these local victims, who like in many U.S. cities are part of an ever-rotating new dog attack headline on the evening news. The pioneering event will be held at a Lincoln Park. Admission is free.

Labrador Awarness Day (NLAD)

National Labrador Awareness Day (NLAD) is a day of appreciation and education designed to change perceptions and stereotypes about Labradors and their responsible owners. NLAD was established to educate and foster positive communications and experiences in the communities in which we and our dogs live, and it is an initiative dedicated to restoring the image of the Labrador Retriever.

Despite the overall positive reception, we initially received criticism from some for using the generic term "lab" in naming the nationwide effort, however, the term was chosen deliberately, and is used for a very obvious reason. "Lab" is the name most familiar to the public, and the term that evokes a negative connotation of a particular grouping of dogs. The objective of NLAD is, of course, to change that negative image.

An homage...

I wish I had the time and ability to do this, so I am throwing it out there to those who may:

I'd like to see a graph/detail that shows people that were killed or severely mauled by a dog because they:

Had a seizure
Slipped on ice
Fell off a ladder
Made direct eye contact with a dog
Put their face too close to a dog
Were walking/jogging down the sidewalk
Were in their own yard, minding their own business
Yelled at the dog
Threw a rock at the dog
Beat/abused the dog (I am betting ZERO on this one)

Please feel free to add any other random reasons why your dog would kill you.

KGUN9 ON YOUR SIDE

Dear Mr. Carr and KGUN9,

I applaud you for standing up to pit bull advocates!  Most media outlets, individuals and victims are faced with intimidation and threats from pit bull advocates - but not you.

Power to the people that would like the maulings and killings to stop!

Dog Attacks in Naples Florida

So apparently, you can be sentenced to jail for 3 years for shooting a pit bull if you live in Naples, Florida.

From the Naples Daily News: " Eight months after she was arrested for shooting and killing her boyfriend's pregnant pit bull, an East Naples woman received three years in prison on animal cruelty, battery and weapons possession charges Tuesday."

Hmmmm....

What about when pit bulls KILL a person in Naples, FL?  Let's not forget Mrs. Carshena Benjamin who was killed by a pit bull - and the police report notates that bite marks were consistent with the pit bull that was hurriedly dropped off in the middle of nowhere by Linda Billie and Shirley Newell. And let's not forget how Linda Billie and Shirley Newell were totally and completely guilty in their police interviews.   However, despite evidence, no charges were ever filed.

What about when pit bulls kill a beloved horse in Naples, FL?  Let's not forget about Dancer, who was viciously attacked and killed while on a trail ride with his young owner.    And Collier County's fearless DAS leader, Amanda Townsend, let these dogs be relocated to Columbia County (also in Florida) - no fines, no punishment, no accountability for the owner.  The dogs are happily living out their lives "somewhere else" - you know - as long as it's not in Naples, Florida - who cares, right?

More Cesar Millan - The expert on Fighting Breeds

Meanwhile....back on an episode (Season 3, episode 4) of Dog Whisperer, this was the situation:

" Cesar travels to the Lone Star state, where he meets Butch, an overly aggressive English bulldog and tries to rein in his out-of-control behavior."

Basically, the dog in question is a total bully.  Two nice people adopt an English Bulldog.  The dog owner says: "...as time goes on, he (the dog) just took over more and more and more....anything that is mine is his....I can't go out in the yard and do anything....I can't rake, I can't use a shovel, I can't get on a ladder, I can't drive on my golf cart, I can't mow..." (common dog owner problems for all of us, right?).

Liesl Wilhardt (founder of Luv A Bull) can't even handle a Chihuahua

I would say it's pretty clear that the founder of Luv A Bull Rescue may not be the right choice of a knowledgeable "rescue" person to adopt your dog from.   On an episode of "Dog Whisperer" she clearly demonstrated that she cannot train, control or "rehabilitate" an 8lb Chihuahua.  The fact that she is adopting out pit bulls scares me.

Said Chihuahua, named El Diablo, was rumored to be able to "take your hand off" if you weren't careful.

Ohhhhh......Ahhhhhh.....killer Chihuahua!  LOL - SERIOUSLY?  Do I even need to continue, or has this gotten stupid enough for  you?

Here are the stats on the killer dog:

"In 2007, a hungry, human-aggressive, stray Chihuahua was found by shoppers in a Wal-Mart parking lot. The dog, deemed El Diablo, was taken to Lane County Animal Services, where he was spotted by Luv-a-Bull pit bull rescue owner Liesl Wilhardt. Liesl adopted El Diablo and soon found out the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. El Diablo refuses to have a leash put on him, snaps at anyone who approaches, and threatens to unravel Liesl's balanced pack of pit bulls."

Liesl couldn't even take the 8 pounder to the vet for vaccines and neutering for "many months" because "we could not handle him".  (which put other dogs and people at risk of rabies among other things - like the fact that she obviously cannot deal with even the smallest of dogs)   Seems as though Liesl the Founder of a dog rescue, could not even get a collar or leash on an 8 pound dog.

Here is a very insightful quote from Liesl:  "when he  (the 8 pounder) lashes out at me or other people, my instinct is to leave him alone and just let him do his thing..."  (video proof coming soon)

Okay, let's visualize that this is an 8 pound dog with Liesl listening to her instinct:

Fight For Your Pit Bull's Rights!

I fully support your efforts to support your pit bull's rights.

You would think of all of the pit bull "supporters" out there, that SOMEONE would start a grass-roots effort to advocate responsibly for this breed.  I know you are out there - why aren't you doing it?

Cesar Millan and the Vick Dogs

Did Cesar Millan take on any of the Michael Vick dogs to join his pack for rehabilitation?

Why not?

Think about it.

Lying to your insurance company??

Insurance Fraud??

There are countless people out there lying to their landlord and/or their insurance company about what type of dog they have......I would like to see more charges brought on those dog owners whose dogs attack, maim, kill or look sideways at ANYTHING.  Let's do something about this!

What's Drawn You and Your Dog Together?  “I belong to a couple of car clubs and my Ticia loves to ride and go to all my car shows with me. I also work in an animal hospital, so she also goes to work with me every day. That is how I adopted her, she was brought in by animal control after being left in a closet after an eviction. She was a mere 5 lbs. We nursed her back to health and I fell in love. Animal control had to change her breed on the paperwork, because pits are illegal in my county. So I am the proud owner of a beautiful Lab mix!  ~ Tanja Pawluczkowycz O’Dell  OH I'M SORRY - THE LINK HAS BEEN DISABLED - HERE'S A SCREEN SHOT OF THE ORIGINAL

Just a quick google search of what is out there.  Do you think that your neighbor's landlord or insurance company is aware that there is a pitbull living on the premises?

Is this fraud?  If so, what kind?  And what can be done about it?  Grass roots effort people!
